The Indianapolis Baptist Temple was founded in 1950, by George Young. Five years later in June, 1955, Gregory J. Dixon became only the second Pastor and continued his ministry for 41 faithful years. Today, through the ministry of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple he continues to work with the Unregistered Baptist Fellowship in helping Pastors across the country in the area of Religious Liberty.
On Sunday, July 7, 1996, Gregory A. Dixon became only the third Pastor of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple. His official installation service was held on Sunday, December 3, 1996, with Dr. Art Wilson presiding.
Over the past nearly 50+ years the Lord Jesus Christ has truly blessed the congregation with ministries, a religious influence locally and worldwide, literally thousands of souls saved, a core of dedicated ministers, and great people.
Because of our spiritual heritage and vast responsibility of continuing God's work, this Web site outlines a new direction and purpose for the congregation of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple.
We truly have a great work ahead of us. As a result, I am asking the congregation to rise up and meet the challenge before us with God’s grace and help. We hope you'll join us.
